THE DEMOLITION COMPANY SWIMMING POOL REMOVAL PROCESS
Client meeting and site assessment
Precise project planning
Pool removal execution
Filling and levelling – soil remediation (if contamination detected)
Safe removal and compliant disposal of waste materials
To ensure a successful pool removal job, we get started with a client meeting and site visit, where we’ll discuss your specific needs. While on-site, we will assess the overall job including any access limitations, potential hazards, and the size and type of pool. We’ll check its overall condition, and whether it is made of concrete or fibreglass. All these considerations impact our overall planning of the job, including resources to be allocated, and safety measures to be implemented. We may need to include soil remediation in our planning if pool damage has caused leakage that has contaminated the ground.
The next step is careful planning of the whole project, from the setting up of safety barriers and signs, the deconstruction of the pool, to the safe removal and disposal of waste materials. We’ll take care of all the boring paperwork for you too!
With planning done and permits in place we’ll get started. Safety first – We’ll put up safety signage and barriers if needed, and remove any potential hazards from in, or around the pool. Any power sources attached to the pool will be removed, the pool emptied and deconstructed. Reusable materials will be sorted for recycling, and other waste materials will be disposed of compliantly.
If there’s no soil contamination, we’ll use clean fill to top up the excavation and level it, leaving a clean, safe space to be repurposed.
BENEFITS OF REMOVING YOUR UNLOVED SWIMMING POOL
Having an unused, damaged, or outdated pool professionally removed provides many benefits.
NO MORE MAINTENANCE, CHEMICAL, OR RUNNING COSTS!
GET A FRESH, NEW SPACE TO PUT TO BETTER USE
REMOVE A POTENTIAL HAZARD, EYESORE, FINANCIAL DRAIN
GET RID OF THE RISK OF SOIL CONTAMINATION FROM DAMAGE
An unwanted swimming pool that is no longer being used can become an eyesore, a waste of valuable space, and a hazard. If it is unloved, and hasn’t been well maintained, the water can go stagnant, creating the perfect environment for mosquitoes, bacteria and bad smells to breed. Even if the pool is kept in good condition, it costs money to maintain. What you pay for water, power and chemicals for an unused pool is dead money that could be better spent on something else. The pool itself can also start to break down, leading to cracks and leaks that can contaminate the surrounding soil. Getting rid of a pool you don’t want frees up space that you can reclaim and put to better use.
